We waited for a long time to get our hands on the LSTN Bluetooth Wireless Troubadours. Now that we finally have a pair, here is our initial review.
In true form LSTN has brought us a stylish and somewhat vintage looking reclaimed wood headphone. This style will appeal to those who like a modern/vintage look without compromising on quality or style. Us girls absolutely love the Matte Black version because it goes with just about any outfit, while the guys tended to prefer the Zebra wood for it's more dominantly displayed woodgrain. Either way, the headphones have a very unisex look and fit with virtually any occasion.
Unlike the wired Troubadour, the Wireless version features a more comfortable headband which made for a more enjoyable listening experience, even on the long stretches. The headphones also feature a detachable cable for those times when you forget to charge your battery. There is also a control panel on the headphones for managing calls, volume and song selection on any device.
In our tests, we found the sound to be clear, accurate and with just enough bass to satisfy the most dedicated R&B enthusiasts. This is a slightly improved speaker from the original and if anything it brings a more dynamic feel to your everyday music.
If wireless is the future, then you can't go wrong with the LSTN Troubadour Bluetooth headphone. They do cost slightly more than other comparable products, but you have to remember that each pair is made with reclaimed wood and a portion of every sale goes directly to the Starkey Hearing Foundation to help kids in 3rd world countries get their hearing back. Change and progress costs money but it is a small price to pay for such a high quality product and to support one fo the few amazingly socially responsible headphone companies.
